This eye is the QX version of the classic 4000 series Meade.
These eyepieces are an evolution of the series and have been modified to have a much higher quality and better apparent field of 70 degrees without spending an exaggeration.
The model I tested is 36 mm from the graft by 2 inches.
The 36 mm is ideal for those who like me has F10 instruments and therefore requires high eye opening to have less magnification and therefore be able to frame and deep sky objects of unusual length.
I did the test on my C8 on a night with seeing 6 / 10 and transparency of about 7 / 10 different observing deep-sky objects and I did a test with the Moon.
The first object in my eye was the Hercules globular cluster, M13.
already were evident at first glance the multitude of stars that make up this cluster and with a closer look you could see a light blue color of some stars. The next step was M57, the Ring Nebula in Lyra. Here, too, despite the low power was clearly visible.
Then I watched the triptych of the Lion and the three galaxies are noticed very well in a completely black sky background.
I finally found a tick from the east and here the show to see the full moon on my C8 with lots of good contrast and sharp detail was great.
Ultimately this is a great series 4000 QX eyepiece that given the price / performance ratio is considered as a viable alternative to more expensive eyepieces.
