Which Is The Best Iks Receiver

SkyWatcher Mak180 Black Diamond

The SkyWatcher has just launched the new version of its popular Mak 180, Black Diamond version. These days I got to try this new version in detail.
The main differences from the old version, Pro Series, are the aesthetic with a black color with white details.
The new Skywatcher Maksutov 180mm. has a focal length of 2700mm. f. 15 which allows the observation and planetary photography with high resolution. Do not disdain even the observation of deep sky objects as the generous opening.
Included is provided with an attack on Dovetail compatible with many frames also has the thread to mount on a sturdy tripod and camera can be used as a telephoto lens for your SLR camera.
The Mak is easily transportable by the weight and size are not excessive
A kit comes with a 9x50 finder with quick support, 50.8 mm diagonal mirror. LET eyepiece and 28mm.
The Maksutov-Cassegrain is a variant of the Schmidt-Cassegrain, which has a meniscus correction with spherical surface. The reason is the introduction of the meniscus conjures aberration produced by spherical primary mirror. The secondary mirror is made of aluminum the central portion of the internal meniscus corrector. The Mak is characterized mainly by the focal length very high.
The tool was tested on several nights when I could see both Jupiter and the moon and some deep sky objects.
The first thing that is clear and the attack on the diagonal is not a standard thread of the other Schmidt-Cassegrain, so it is compatible with all available accessories on the market as the focal reducer or external focus when focus that need to be used a car adapter that must be built.
observing Jupiter with different seeing conditions I able to appreciate the visual qualities of the instrument even in poor conditions has allowed me to observe the characteristics bands of the gas giant with many details that have incredible seeing the best, with considerable detail and well engraved.
The moon is really spectacular images ever recorded and contrasted, the crater Plato revealed significant details and going with the magnification is not lost in sharpness, provided, however, to have a seeing at least discreet. The opening of the mirror
discrete tool also allows you to collect lots of light, which goes to the benefit of the observation of deep sky objects. I have observed planetary nebulae in M57 and M27 and other globular clusters , M13 and M3, appreciating the images provided.
acclimatization times they seemed quite content in the media or any other Cassegrain configuration.
In conclusion I can say that I feel very good tool for those who want to do planetary observation and photography Hi-res, but also for those who disdain even make a few observations of deep sky thanks to its gracious.
