The long waits have been shared by many people including myself but it just happened that I happened on the night of Saturday, 11/21 and Sunday 22 -11.
I lived a traumatic experience that will remain for life in my memories as well as in my view.
Saturday evening after a long day I decide to watch a movie lying on the couch and what happens to those who are tired I fall asleep. Around half past midnight I wake up and realize that I still wear contact lenses. I try to remove them but one of them does not come off. I decided with much embarrassment to call the emergency doctor because I thought for a trifle disturbing. The attending physician reassures me by saying that it is very common but unfortunately does not have the tools to remove it and I recommend that you contact the emergency room.
Around one and half to the emergency room are crammed with people suffering from various diseases. The nurse after being informed of the emergency medical opinion and I suggest, given the overcrowding and the fact that before the late morning had not been present to the eye doctor, to try to resolve the matter with me through the purchase of equipment ( a sucker cavalenti) at the pharmacy on duty. After my adventures related to the difficulty of seeing that little man in brief, the pharmacist, being what I was looking for a specialized tool, it gives me an enema as an alternative that could be used to try to remove the lens.
Back home, I live about 20 Km away, after many attempts, I realize the futility the "bulb" which, as mentioned in the instructions, it is useful for intestinal washes and earphones (not ocular).
I try to sleep but the pain is getting stronger and I decided then, was around four and a half to go to the emergency room prepared to do long hours in a row.
Luckily we had been only a few and then the nurse goes to the opening of my practice, in half an hour or so before the doctor is trying in vain to remove the lens. At this point, about six and a quarter, they invited me to again after ten-thirty when I found the ophthalmologist.
All the doctors interviewed or seen so far I have reassured me that the soft lens would not create any damage.
Back home again growing pain forces me to consult with my personal 118 (my mother-in-law) who offered to accompany me to Bologna, where, only now I discover, there is an emergency room ophthalmology at the Saint Ursula.
The diagnosis: the lens is not and I have an ulcer on the entire cornea that forces me to stay in bed, blindfolded, with his eyes closed and with great pain. The prognosis is, if all goes well, Fort Bend a few days of pain and inactivity for at least eight working days. Complications due to infection are high enough to prevent a lot of attention and treatment with antibiotics.

We have slightly increased the incidence of the propeller blade, so as to make the engine work less laps. In this way, working in pairs on the 2700/2800 rpm instead of 3100 as before.
Now the hull is ready for the race on Sunday. But the crew?

SkyWatcher Newton 250 Black Diamond
The SkyWatcher has recently launched a new tool, dubbed as Black Diamond. In this new series Black Diamond can be found by the refractor 80 mm to 120 mm apochromatic all, the Maksutov 150 and 180 mm, the Newton 200, 250 and 300 mm and 190 mm Mak-Newton.
I already had the opportunity to try the Mak-Newton 190 and I found it to be optically excellent, now I have recently purchased the 250-newton mm. The Black Diamond
Skywatcher 250 is a configuration tool in Newton with a focal length of 1200mm. F.4, 8 dedicated to the observation and the resumption of deep sky objects, but also lends itself well to those planets. Mechanically is very good about finishing high enough, a Crayford focuser by 50.8 mm. with reduction of 31.8 mm. A note on the preparation for the installation of a cooling fan on the breech of the primary mirror. But where the 250 is comfortable and secure in the deep sky objects, I observed several objects from the M27, The Dumbbell Nebula, noting many fine details, including which the central star to the nebula. M57, The Ring Nebula, looked fine in his classic oval shape with a high contrast. The globular cluster M13 was also amazing, bright stars and rose up in the middle. The observations were all made by a suburban sky, and not in the best conditions for observing the deep sky, and then I dare not imagine the pictures below can give a clear dark sky of the mountains.
For astro photography is certainly a necessary correction of coma, a problem that affects all working newton because of the primary mirror, but I noticed that with this option the SLR or CCD camera can not reach the accurate fire due to excessive height of the focuser, which is well done with very fluid movements, but has no necessary or back focus that allows precise control of the fire. Note that without the use of fire spell you can go well with both a CCD and with the SLR, thanks to the joint photographic kit that replaces the nose and from 50.8 to 31.8 mm and then decreases with the height of the focuser. To work around this problem I am doing to make my friend a nose 50.8 mm low-profile that should allow me to use the correction of coma and give me back focus of about 2 cm.
In conclusion, I can assure you that this 250 Newton is really good and despite the weight and the problem from the focuser (only in photo), surely Highly recommended for those looking for a tube of large diameter, but at prices much lower as long as we have a frame of at least grade EQ6.

The SkyWatcher has just launched the new version of its popular Mak 180, Black Diamond version. These days I got to try this new version in detail.
The main differences from the old version, Pro Series, are the aesthetic with a black color with white details.
The new Skywatcher Maksutov 180mm. has a focal length of 2700mm. f. 15 which allows the observation and planetary photography with high resolution. Do not disdain even the observation of deep sky objects as the generous opening.
Included is provided with an attack on Dovetail compatible with many frames also has the thread to mount on a sturdy tripod and camera can be used as a telephoto lens for your SLR camera.
The Mak is easily transportable by the weight and size are not excessive
A kit comes with a 9x50 finder with quick support, 50.8 mm diagonal mirror. LET eyepiece and 28mm.

Meade Serie 4000 QX 36 mm
This eye is the QX version of the classic 4000 series Meade.
These eyepieces are an evolution of the series and have been modified to have a much higher quality and better apparent field of 70 degrees without spending an exaggeration.
The model I tested is 36 mm from the graft by 2 inches.
The 36 mm is ideal for those who like me has F10 instruments and therefore requires high eye opening to have less magnification and therefore be able to frame and deep sky objects of unusual length.
I did the test on my C8 on a night with seeing 6 / 10 and transparency of about 7 / 10 different observing deep-sky objects and I did a test with the Moon.
The first object in my eye was the Hercules globular cluster, M13.
already were evident at first glance the multitude of stars that make up this cluster and with a closer look you could see a light blue color of some stars. The next step was M57, the Ring Nebula in Lyra. Here, too, despite the low power was clearly visible.
Then I watched the triptych of the Lion and the three galaxies are noticed very well in a completely black sky background.
I finally found a tick from the east and here the show to see the full moon on my C8 with lots of good contrast and sharp detail was great.
Ultimately this is a great series 4000 QX eyepiece that given the price / performance ratio is considered as a viable alternative to more expensive eyepieces.

Baader Hyperion 3.5 mm
